Default Paging MBtB, Congrats on teh new ride. Check out Huper Optik

ceramic tint.

I've had metallic tint on my A4 and have it on missus snail's ride and the metallic tint ruins radio reception.

I didn't mind it on the A4 as I had teh ipod but . . .

Default I would but... Huper Optik is like $450 and doesn't come in darker shades yet (20%)...

with the A4 I've never had a problem with FM and my radar detector. I did have issues with the AM radio reception. To be honest I never use the radio for FM, let alone AM.

I have heard of "Formula 1" tint which I believe is also ceramic. Why do I have the strange feeling ceramic has a negative effect on radar detectors though.

Haven't heard of any issues with ceramic tint (other than it's a bit more expensive).

Default How much did the Formula One Ceramic run if you don't mind me asking?

Llumar Metal is ~$150 for the whole car. I want to keep it under $200.

I've heard Ceramic does keep the car much cooler then metal though.

Default I paid $325CDN. I believe the metal Formula One tint was like $275. Formula One is a bit more...

expensive than others.

It'll be fine. The difference between ceramic and metal is very small (in terms of heat rejection)

Default Huper Optik is supposed to have dramatic differences...

but I really want 20% at the lightest. Oh and $450 for tint isn't going to happen
