Will they be able to cover the front lower spoiler? Do they machine cut or hand cut the 3M

the lower part has to be custom cut. you can buy a whole sheet and cut it yourself or take it to an installer and they can help you.

Is it difficult to cut yourself? Do you cut it after placing the film, or cut it prior to placing the film?

it does take some serious time and a LOT of patience to cut the film. you can only do certain sections at once. place the film over the car, and cut with a pocket knife oh so gently so as not to scratch the paint. then apply with the alcohol solution, and trim the edges. but in all honesty, please take the car to an installer and they will do a much better professional looking job. you can get it done for under $50.
