As some of you recall, I've been having issues with my car "hiccupping" or hesitating. VAG-COM logs showed nothing that would indicate any problem, no DTC, nothing. Local shop was puzzled as well. On Thurs, I swapped in a N75J that I had borrowed from a friend to test it out. While it did give me significantly more boost than the stock N75C, it also exaggerated the hesitations I was experiencing - enough to finally throw a DTC. Random cylinder misfire, cylinder 1 misfire...WTF. Checked plugs, fuel injectors, etc, all good. Remembered I had a spare coilpack from when my last one died (after they were replaced under the recall, mind you). Swapped it in, everything better. I'll be ordering 2 more rev. L coilpacks very shortly so I don't have to deal with this crap again. UGH

i agree the stock n75 and bm is the way to go as well, you can set it for the extra boost that the "j" is giving you and get it to hold real well, you should really get a boost gauge though to monitor the bm and get it set to your liking...however i guess just logging your boost during adjustments would be sufficient until then...

It's very interesting being that you shouldn't have that many miles on the one you removed.
I can't wait to go for ride.
by the way how much do those coilpacks cost?
