Default Phx negotiation advice...fees, fees, and more fees

I've been lurking for a few weeks and doing a lot of research on pricing and need some advice about fees. Scottsdale Audi and I are still $1500 apart on price, but there are those pesky fees:
Tags: $539 <- Az is high
Doc fee: $200
National Advertising fee: $200
PDI (pre-delivery inspection): $539

Is everyone paying these fees? Any advice is appreciated!

BTW - I'm looking at ordering a 3.0/quattro/6M/Dolphin grey with platinum leather and some other goodies...they don't have one on the lot. I offered $1k over invoice...unreasonable?

thanks from a newbie!
Chris

I'm sure there is one but they probably put it toward the vehicles cost, like we do.

Default I'm in Phoenix...

Got my 3.0 QTS fully loaded w/o heated seats plus nav for $600 above invoice. They had the car on the lot so maybe that's the difference. I dealt with Steve Baca and became friendly with the sales manager Dave Zoloto after the deal. Email me if you need some help ;-)

Default you misunderstand, it is against the DEALER'S COST of the vehicle, not what you pay

although somewhere it is taken into account

Default Your $1000 deal just went up

Chris,

There is Invoice + Profit + DMV + Doc fees. Period.

DMV: $539
Doc fee: $200 < should be $20-$30
National Advertising fee: $200 < Never heard of it
PDI (pre-delivery inspection): $539 < Doh!

DMV + $969 + $1000 Profit = $1969 above invoice, the going rate for a 3.0 the way you want it.

I would've just asked for it.
