I will post later all the parts they replaced. Do you think I should have the tech show me the parts under the hood before I leave with the car? Should I be getting a new warranty on the parts they replaced? The service rep started to list the parts over the phone but the list went on forever so I will get the service sheet. Thanks for your input.

Any parts that were replaced will be shown on your copy of the invoice, and are warrantied for 12 months or 12000 miles, or the balance of your factory warranty, whichever is longer. As to showing you the parts, it would depend on what was replaced, but you probably wouldn't see them all without a teardown anyway. Typically on an engine replacement, there can be anywhere from 35 to 60 inividual part numbers, depending on the scope of the work.
Is this a 1.8 liter?

Maybe you can answer my question. Do you think that only changing the oil every ten thousand miles is causing some of the problems?

And short trips? who doesn't make short trips?
Most of my miles, 46k in two years, are from driving to mammoth and tahoe from Costa Mesa (so cal) It would seem to me that changing your oil more often is a smart thing to do. This car is a lease and my first that I have not changed the oil every 3-5k miles. I went with thier program and am not so sure about it. Could it be that because they include all service that if they had to change the oil more often it would not be cost effective? I am not sure. Seems that they are trying to fix a broken program with synth oil and a bigger filter when it is the cheap service program that is broken. If I were buying this car I would certainly change the oil more often.
