You're probably wondering what's holding the iPod. I was going crazy trying to figure out what i was gonna do with the pod as far as installing it or diplaying it somewhere convenient. Well right there in front of me the whole time was my freakin cell phone holder/charger! A light bulb went off over my head and I test fitted the pod. It fit perfectly! Infact I was still able to squeeze the clamps a click or two to really secure it. A button on one side instantly releases the pod for when I need to remove it. And my phone can still charge and hang out in the little compartment behind the cigarette lighter that the holder is sitting in. I never really needed to display my motorola anyway. The curly wire is just the charger wire for my phone, not the pod.
On another note for you fellow iPod users, notice that the radio display says "track 1" instead of "track 99".
And if you are doing the install and have the same problem i did with the display saying "CDC1 LOAD", make sure all the wires in the connectors that plug into the back of the radio are in securely. I think that's what my problem was. I pushed on that main connector so damn hard my thumb was hurting. Even though i heard it click in the other half dozen time, this time i think i pushed all the wires in through the back of it really hard. After talking to Autotoys about this, they told me that i was probably right that one or two of the wires weren't fully seated cause these blitzsafe adapters are all made by hand. So those of you that sent it back for that message being displayed and not getting output from the ipod, may not of had to do that. But who knows.
Anyway, i love the pod, it sounds great in the car, it's very accessible while driving, and easy to see especially with the back light at night. Hard to capture that last shot on film though. And the iPod charger in the first pic i keep in the glove compartment just in case.

Default Neat job. Got a question for ya...

Dennis:

Are there mobile phone holders that go straight into the cigaret lighter? Or have you done a modification there as well? I'm interested in having something that holds/charges my mobile without needing to install somewhere on the dash. You comment is appreciated.

I hope I can find one here (down under), so never mind about where you bought yours. Thanks.
