Default I got them from the Audi parts department

You can find them on eBay as well.

The part # for the polished face wheel cap is 4D0-601-170-A-Z33

There is also a matte/textured face one as well.

Is it the same size as the grey ones that come with the sport wheels?

I don't know. The caps were appx. 2 3/8" in diameter and metal. Current ones are plastic.

Default Word of caution...

It's not at all made of a high grade material, especially for the price...

I'll probably end up making myself a set of caps using aluminum for my SL's in the future

Default Yes... in retrospect it might have been easier to CNC 4 inserts

The lathing process, polishing, ect was quite an adventure. The metal used was a low grade metal and not 100% aluminum. Oxided easily and not easy to work with so I was the guinea pig this time around.

Programming a CNC machine to cut out 4 pucks from aluminum would have been much easier and as clean a look. I would have sent the pucks in to Panther for polishing and clearcoating as well.

Sherman... let me know if and when you decide to cut a set. =)
