Playing Bose radio while car is off
This afternoon I tried to get my radio to play with the engine off...it didn't work no matter which position the key was in...so I tried all kinds of combos of pressing the radio button while the key was in different positions and something I did made is so that I can now turn the radio on without the key even in the ignition. I have no idea what I did to enable this and no idea what to do to disable it. Any ideas?

Hurm - that's odd, since you can turn on the radio at any time, even without the key in (more)
The volume **** doubles as a power button. Push it to turn it on.
If they key is not in the ignition, it will play for about a half hour before turning off (in case it was accidentally left on unattended) - you can press the power button again and it will resume.

hmmmm...
I could swear that I tried to push the radio button on while the key was out, but nothing happened. That's why I was wondering if you had to "enable" the feature.

you did nothing wrong. thats the way it works. take the key out . then just press the power button and the radio will play, but, for only 30 min, and then will turn off auotmatically.
thats an expensive manual you got with that car......have you discovered the secret storage shelf for the manual??????????????????????
