This happend to me 2 time...
onece about two month agao
and twice today...
it always happends after hard drive...
I got Thermal Exhaust and APR chip..
after I have hard drive and slow down hard too... I can hear meteal griding sound from front right side, I dont know if it's all the way to the tire or about btween tire and engine
but as soon as I engage the gear and accelerate again.. sound is gone.
it sounds very very loud, and sounds like two metals is griding each other..
Doesn any body has same problem..
It doesn't make all the time.. so I can't even take to the dealer...
how does griding drive shaft and exhaust sound like? I read somebody has that problem in here.
I really worried about... I don't think its from chip.. but may be from Thermal exhaust..
If some sone have any Idea about this or had same problem.. please reply./
thank you

it could be a small pebble stuck in the brakes grinding against the rotor. I had a similar sound that would come and go, told dealer about it and they suggested it may just be road debris stuck and rubbing somewhere.

Could this be the ABS engaging? ABS has sort of a grinding feel...

but I agree that its probably got something to do with the brakes. Could either be something stuck in between the pad and rotor or just the pads and rotors starting to go....driving hard has a profoundly negative effect on the life of rotors and pads on these cars (as i found out when i had both replaced on my front two corners at 10K and all four rotors resurfaced at ~14K when the car was in for something else)
