Pol(e) for you GTRS and eliminator guys.
Ive had B5 and B6S4's and now a B7 A4. With just a chip and tp its really decent. Im considering an APR K04 when the fueling is ready and that would lead into a GTRS kit. Eurocode will make it happen. My questions are have any of you 1.8T GTRS guys had any drive train (6spd) or other issues related to the motor output? Im considering doing wheels, CO's, k04 maybe later a BT and clutch and control arms. Or just finding a CPO RS4 and calling it a day. I know id get a catback and some sort of coilover kit that did away with DRC... All in all would probably spend 10 - 15K more on an RS4 @ 65K than my B7 A4 SLine Ti with all those mods. I get good pricing at Eurocode and estimate with price of car and mods = around 50 - 53K. A CPO RS4 in 4 months... 60K and another 3K to mod it. So 50K A4 or 63K Rs4. I love the 2.0 mpg but hmmm. Im trying to figure what kind of pain a really modded A4 would giv me... shop time repair costs etc compared to spending a little more onan RS4 and basically not touching it.

Its ok, but a GTRS is hardly worth it IMO...
Just chipped (stage 1+, test pipe, Exhaust) is more fun around town than the GTRS. I hope with some tuning I can get more out of it, but no thrills here.

If you look in the database in my sig...
under the 1.8t BT guys 1/4 mile times, over 50% of that list has replaced engines or transmissions (some of them more than once). I wont list which ones for privacy. This is not an attempt to scare or say BT applications are bad at all. Many people may have stock components hold up, but when you add 100% more power and torque to a motor, it is always wise to plan on powertrain replacements.

Some of those cars have had more than one of each go....
Heck, I blew my tranny with a K04 kit and I dont grind gears or miss shifts. There are only 10 different cars represented in the BT database (some ran with different octanes more than once) and out of those 10, 4 of them have blown motors and 3 have blown trannies (with one of the three having blown two trannies). It's not about the kits either. They were obviously making the power. You just cant expect to run a car hard at 200 to 240% its original power.
