Poll on gas mileage when using a Thule/Yakima cargo box versus normal ski rack? Gas mileage??
I have been told the mileage on the highway is at least 2 mpg less with the cargo box. Is this true? OF course my shop says it makes no difference or at lest negligent.

Its all based on wind resistance... I've gotten -1 when I have the cross bars with
no attachments another -1 with the snow board or bike accessories. I suppose the cargo box might be a little bit better, but not much. The cargo box will help more with wind noise tho.
