Default INCORRECT, Castrol Syntec 0W-30 German is full synthetic

You want to talk specs? It beats Mobil1 0W-40.

Right off 6 bottles sitting on my floor of Castrol Syntec 0W30 Made in Germany:

API SL/CF
ACEA A3/B3 B4-98
VW 502 00, 505 00, 503 01
BMW Longlife-01
MB 229.1, 229.3
Porsche

Default Which it is notably missing....

The funny thing about all of these "manufacturers bench marks", is that they overlap one another in some ways. I mean, exactly how many "extended drain", or "long life" scenarios do you need from different manufacturers. I know they vary somewhat and some might be more "rigorous" then others. But realistically speaking, it's gonna be close.

With Motul, the X-cess meets BMW LL. Yet the Ester E-Tech does not, but has VW 503.01 (which X-cess is missing) and MB 229.3 as well (like X-cess). There's a balance to it and I still think they are both great oils to use.

Apparently, on review of the paper, the engine used was still breaking-in, a flawed test.

Default The super-extended drain LL-02 oils are low HT/HS...go figure. They can't blend a heavy LL-02 oil...

apparently it's optimised for brands too. Saab synth 0w-30 is a LL oil, lookin good to me.

http://www.castrol.de/produkte/a_auto/a_motorenoele/index.html</a

Default Isn't it enough that it carries BMW LL, MB 229.3 and Porsche?

I would feel comfortable doing 10K OCI, wouldn't you?
