Escort Solo S2 Cordless.........
this is the one I have...best radar detector out, and its cordless. I posted a vid of it catcing a speed trap. Will post again. Its pricey though 300+.

Agreed. For all of the above reasons...plus you can send it in for 'updates' (m)
single **** control, best detection, etc., etc.

I guess the directional thing could be handy...
but if the thing beeps you should slow down no matter what direction they're shooting at you from right? I like the Solo S2 cause it shows you what kind of radar/laser is being used...like laser,X,K,Ka..etc And how close it is too you. The Police in my area use only Ka or laser. So when it shows laser X or K you know its just an automatic door or something. You can program it to not even detect these types of radars as well. And it has upgradeable software so it wont get outdated. AND ITS CORDLESS!!
