POLL: Is your A4's ECU chipped? (yes or no)
#7
Nope, not going to.
Why mess with a good thing? I don't mean to sound as if I have bottomless pockets, but if I had wanted a more powerful car I would have bought one. Besides, I can't help but noticing that most (some? More than a few?) chipped 1.8T owners eventually (more often than not) run into engine problems: invariably placing more stress on engine parts designed to work at a lower HP regimen leads to breakdowns.
Ah, and an aftermarket chip tends to invalidate the manufacturer's warranty - a particularly bothersome side effect for a CPO vehicle like mine still warranted for another 50,000 miles.
