Poor gas mileage - can different spark plugs or dying fuel pump cause this?

I notice today that my gas milage is down like 2-3 mpg. I changed my plugs from BKR6e to bkr7e this past weekend. Also my fuel pump is starting to whine and make noise( i have any appointment at the dealer on Monday morning).
Could either of those 2 things effect my fuel mileage? I wouldn't think so, but my mileage is down quite a bit.
any thoughts?

I think i read in the archives that a clogged filter can decrease gas mileage a little. What did you gap your plugs at? Do you have aftermarket software? Could also be primary o2 sensor.
If your running super rich with aftermarket software, I think the o2 sensor can get fouled and give poor readings of air fuel mixture.

Some have said they have changed them and it improves mileage and others have said it did nothing. So its hit or miss.

my car is revo stage 2 with genesis 380cc injectors. plugs are .030
car runs perfect both before and after these changes. We will see if anything is different after monday. it is under warranty, so fuel pump and filter should be covered.
