and all that CSR can do is to call the dealer for me! When I called MBUSA and bitched about not getting my C32 they took it seriously and the regional rep called me!

as far as European brands. VW/Audi uses SD, and even this is a recent development. Back in 2000 my car came into port in Housten.

The only European car makers to maintain large port/VPC centers at PH are BMW Group and Volvo (I live like 10 miles from there). While it is possible that you car was shipped on a boat with BMWs, I'd be surprised if the BMW VPC (Vehicle Processing Center) would be set up to handle Audi processing for an occasional car. Weirder things have happened though I suppose. I know that sometimes Wagoneers transport (the trucking company that BMW and Audi use) sometimes brings BMWs and Audis on the SAME TRUCK together to dealers that carry both brands (I've seen this at both Rusnak and Cutter). So who knows. But San Diego is where the VAST majority of Audi and VW cars comes in for the west coast (at least the SW, they may use Tacoma as well).
