Possible to disable seatbelt chime?
Hi,
Does anyone know a way to disable the seatbelt chime? Sometimes when I'm just sitting in the car with the radio on, the seatbelt chime keeps ringing every 30 seconds. It's quite annoying. So is there a way ti disable it? Thanks.

Yes, it can be disabled, but curious - do u have the ignition ON or just in accessory mode ?
many times I will turn the car off and sit there while the wife is shopping and the radio will play without anything on for 10 minutes or so...
but if longer, will push the key without starting and turn it back off, then our Q doesn't chime when in accessory mode...

I just have it in accessory mode, so that all the interior lights and radio light up, but didn't turn it to start the car.
I'm not sure what you mean you will "push the key without starting and then turn it back off?" What if I want to just sit there and keep listening to the radio without having to put on the seat belt?
Note: I'm referring to the car not having been turned on or off yet. Just getting into the car like during my lunch break and listening to the radio w/out having to turn on/off the car. Thanks

What he is saying is the key does not have to be in the ignition at all. Simply sit in the car, leave the key in your pocket, and push the radio button. The radio will come on.

And the radio will turn off automatically after approx 60 mins, if left in that mode. Audi seemed to be pretty good about making sure the radio wouldn't drain the battery.
I've only ever heard the set belt chimes after I have turned the ignition key to the ON position.
