Default possible problem with transmission...

For the past 4-5 days or so, I have noticed that after starting the car I feel something in the clutch "slip" after engaging first gear. I would say that it occurs some where around 1.5K RPM's and 5-12 MPH. This similarly happens when entering reverse before first gear (i.e. this "slipping" feeling will happen in reverse and first gear).

What seems odd about this though is that it will only occur the first time engaging the clutch/transmission after the car is off. After the frist time, it does not happen again until the next time the car is started.

The "slipping" that I speak of is not extremely noticable by feel or sound. It is quite possible that it was there since I picked up the car but I did not notice it until a few days ago. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has experienced anything similar? Should I be worried/take it into the dealer?

Thanks agaain to everyone who can provide any insight.

I have the same problem as urs. So I went to the dealer to check about this probloem. After checking, they told me that the sofeware is old and they would update that for me. After update, the car is totally changed. I think u can try to talk with the maintance dept.. They can do this for u. I bought my A4 3.0 last Nov.
