Default Probelm with Xenons Left rear Sensor

I lowered my 02 a4 a week ago and ever since then the dash displays the auto leveler idicator, off and on. It comes on after I drive awhile. When I turn off the car and start it again, it goes away. I hooked it up with a vag tool and it says Left rear sensor. What should I do. IS there something worng with the sensor maybe they didnt mount it correctly? Or do I have to manually adjust the left drivers side head light? anyone can help me have any ideas

Default Here is the answer...

the left rear Xenon auto leveler unit is a 3 pivot "dogbone" if you will... A common problem is that when it is disconnected, its reconnected folding the incorrect way. I would bet yours is folding towards the outside (towards the wheel), when it needs to be folding towards the inside (towards the center of the car).

So, jack up your car, take off the left rear wheel. Use a 10mm to remove the lower bolt. Let the thing down, and fold it up the other way so the armature elbow is inward.

Now, go drive the car... it will likely take a few times of turing the car on and off for the fault code to go away.

BTW... I just figured this out yesterday... I had the same problem... I did this and everything is back to normal.

Please let me know how this works out for you. I plan to contribute an FAQ to the tech section if I'm correct.

Default Have you reprogrammed the auto-leveler?

Not sure if it will solve your problem, but you have to make your computer "re-learn" the new position using your VAG. I had this problem and solve it using my vag.

Try this URL and keep me informed,
