Hey all,
I know that A4 B5 used to have a lot of minor problems as Audi is known for. I have heard ,however, that Audi has smartened up and the new B6's are very reliable and do not have as many problems as they used.
Is this true? Or is just hopeful thinking?

It's just the luck of the draw. I think German cars in general have a fair share of electrical gremlins. I've seen very weird things in everyone of my Audi's and my wifes Mercedes is showing similar weird problems. Example in my new B6 A4, I was driving down the road when all of the sudden my odometer, and clock area just turn into ancient Egyption symbols for a min, then went back to normal. I'm like WTF??? In my TT, I used to come out to it after it was parked and my window decided it was going to roll-down half way while it was parked? Maybe it wanted some fresh air??? Many TT'ers have had their cars flooded out in the rain from this.
Will this make me buy Japanese? Not yet, or until they come out with something with more soul. Acura, Lexus, Infinity don't do it for me.
