The answer is NO!
The strip you refer to is not chromed but polished aluminum.It matches my summer mags and besides it would scratch too easily!

than the rest of the bumper cause it's protected a little by the rubber strip. Someone else here did it.

No I do not work for LLtek, but yes you are right about being a mule for them. Caractere and LLtek used my car to test fit their kit for test purposes before selling them in North America.
