Default I guess each option has its positive and negative aspects...
it's true that the heat activates the salt which is hard on the body but on the other hand, all my engine parts, belts, CV boots, etc... never have to get going at -40F, which is a lot easier on the engine and related components.... you just can't win!!!

Default I've had it occur under the passenger-side roof channel (?)...
luckily it was covered by warranty. I happened to notice an ever slighty ripple on the edge. It turned out the paint was bubbling due to corrosion underneath. I know of one other person on AW that had it happen to them in the same exact spot.

Default I think the corrosion warranty only covers corrosion perforation...
there is nothing going through the sheet metal on mine so I don't think I would be covered.
