Just curious why an upper-only kit is worthwhile.

I don't know much about failure rates on B6 control arms, only that I replaced all of mine twice on my B5...

They are however easier to see the bushings on, so when they fail it's more obvious. So generally they get replaced more frequently.

The kit is just a lower price option for someone who might want to replace just their uppers, without having to purchase a full kit.

Only had to replace front upper/front on both sides of my b5 - lowers are all good.
