Default Putting "dead" spot mirror on your side mirror. Would that work?

Hi,

I have heated side mirrors. If I remember correctly they start to heat up automatically when the temp. falls below certain number (I don't remember what it's)...I want to put one of those small mirrors that help to see a "dead" spot, but my concern is that it might fall off when it's cold outside and the side mirror will heat up.

What 'ya all think? Has anybody tried it?

Thanks!

Are they auto dim? Will I need a new enclosure for it? How hard to install? Thanks!

Default no unfortunately mine are not, but they do have the same for auto-dimming, just more expensive...

i think it's $250 for an auto-dimming, as opposed to $50 for a "regular" one...
installation is easy and you don't need to get a new housing for them, all Euro A4s come with that from the factory...

The mirror wouldn't heat up enough to cause it to fall off.. Should be fine

Default i really don't think they'll heat up that hot! even if it did...

the adhesive is too thin and will burn to a crisp before it slides off.
