Q about DVs/BPVs: Why choose aftermarket over the TT225, and. . . ?

Default Q about DVs/BPVs: Why choose aftermarket over the TT225, and. . . ?
And what type of "servicing" is required for the aftermarket ones.

Is a $150 aftermarket BPV that much better than the $40 TT225 version?

Default from what i understand, the guys at APR use the TT's, but
the install on the Forge was only about 35 for me, a guy's half hour of work at a garage....

I just looked at the fact that it was aluminum, and said "There will be a lot of pressure to bust the thing" versus going with another VAG DV that busted twice already....just my thoughts

Default I use the 110 and I figure I can go through 3-4 of them before
I have come to the price of a forge or another one similar.

are there any differences between performance on the VAG vs. say Forge/baily etc....

Default i assume so, just maintains boost to a higher rpm in each gear....
but i got it so it wouldnt break...that was all i cared about

Default It isn't that bad, I have only done it once from the orignal to the 110
but if you don't use the factory clamps it won't take long.
