Default To Q or not to Q? I live in SoCal...

Test drove a Q5M and a QTip this weekend. The tip is a slug. Now, I need to decide if I want Quattro or not. Any SoCal owners with comments?

I'm not in SoCal, but I used to live there. GET THE QUATTRO. It's no contest.

Default Just for comparison, drive the CVT....

I love it. I actually prefer it over the quattro. It is less sluggish than the quattro. I live in So. Cal., so I obviously don't have any major need for the quattro. It wasn't a $$$ issue; purely preference.

Default yeah... the Jedi's tranny is nice... it is quicker off the line and feels (more)

"snappier" (if that is a word).

All the torque is just delivered to the front right away and the response gives the car a more immediate launch.

I actually drove his car once... (briefly)
The CVT is transparent... you don't even realize that it is doing all the things that it is doing...

Good power delivery, quick off the line, lighter...

I had a FWD '97, then I was a passenger in a quattro '97 on Buttonwillow raceway (after it had just rained). Major advantage in that situation... The AWD lets the driver get away with a lot of slop and the car still sticks...

I put P7000 Super Sports on my FWD, and they never broke loose in the rain... smooth and controlled.

Just ask yourself where and why you want the car.
and also, how... you drive it. =)

Default Do the Q! You'll know you made the right choice after one rainstorm. And...

it is AWESOME on the twistys. Quattro is the complete system!

Default Thanks bud! You got the Wett chip! (more)

How do you like it?
Why did you decide that chip over the others (GIAC, APR, Neuspeed, etc.)?
