Hello everyone!

About 5 months ago i had my engine replaced because of an oil sludge. It cost me $7000. Two weeks ago i got a stange whisstling noise coming from my engine and CEL went on. I took it to a dealership and they told me that i need: HOSE REPLACED BREATHER LINES AND CRANKCASE BREATHER VALVE. They told me that it was not a part of the new engine so the whole thing cost me $750. Should this be covered under the 1 year warranty that i received with my new engine?

Honestly those are things you can do yourself.

the 3-way hose coming off the valve cover at near the firewall was recalled due to faulty design.

the L hose is known failure point

and every other vacuum line dies from heat.

I spent about 3 hours and redid most of mine. That would be about 1hr shoptime at my vag mechanic or $60 plus parts.

You must do proper PM or your car will not be happy. as your previous motor told you.

what does PM stand for? and i dont know if they replaced it. i know they put in the long block and a new turbo.
