Im so happy I got my 2004 Dolphin Grey 1.8T AT with premium/sport/lighting/Bose!! I spent 2.5 hours yesterday washing it...It looks cleaner than when I got it from the Dealer!

When I bought the car, I paid 31,800 Out the door.
The invoice was 29,605 which included fees for So. Cali audi advertising, Prep, and cal emissions... Should that have been included in the invoice which the dealer showed me? Most dealers weren't willing to go below invoice in so. california.

I got mine for $685 under invoice after hours of haggling, but should I have paid for all those BS fees (dealer prep, advertising, etc) in the invoice price? I called other dealers in so. cal and they also included those fees in their invoice price.

They tried to get me at 7.99 APR for 5 years through audi financing but I ended up talking them down to 4.99%

Best way to get an unbiased invoice price is to put all the info into the edmunds.com new car section.

I did go to Edmunds.com and they had the same invoice MINUS all the dealer fees (advertising, cal emissions, dealer prep). I got faxes from different dealers of their invoice and all of them had those BS fees.

I found the one of the invoice and here are the charges that were added to the invoice (all the invoices i reviewed had them)

Southern California Audi Ad Assoc. = $239.40
Preparation and insepction = $135
Cal / northeast emissions = 150

That equals about $524 in extra fees. I paid $685 under the invoice. Is it fair that I paid those fees. They are included in all the invoices that I saw.
