when you start your car in the morning to take it out of the garage, do you usually let it warm up? i was moving my car from garage to driveway today and the temp was cold, so i was a bit unsure of myself.
thanks

You should start the car and start driving, but go easy on it until it is warmed up. 2 reasons for this: 1)The engine takes a lot longer to warm up while sitting at idle than while moving, and 2)While sitting at idle, the rest of the driveline components are not getting warmed up. By warming the car up while moving, the whole drivetrain gets moving and warms up properly.

even say that if you're gonna be at an intersection, stopped for over 30 seconds, it wouldn't be a bad idea to turn off the engine!!
