Default Question: for ppl who has H&R sport springs

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/43707/random_047.jpg"">

Hi everyone, I desperately need your help.

I'm planning to buy H&R sport springs from someone for my 2003 A41.8T Quattro. But I'm not sure if the ones he's selling are for my car, he claims yes. He sent me 2 pictures.

For the people who has H&R sport springs for a 2003 A4 1.8T Quattro, do those look like the ones in the picture? Cause it just seems that the 2 short springs are TOO short.

I would really appreciate your help.
Thank you very much.

The Springs overall look o.k but my sport springs are black/grey in colour. Can you ask him to quote the part number of the springs, they are normally printed on each spring. A quick check then on H&R web site will tell you if they suit your car or not.

My springs are H&R sport part# 29369-1, My car is a FWD 1.8T sedan. They are black in colour. PS Where you live because I am selling my Springs and Koni Adjustable shocks, only 4000 miles old.

Default I have H&R Sport Springs for my A6, and they are black...<edited>

red are race springs, according to H&R's website. Of course, the best way to tell (maybe the sports were red in previous years of production?) you should get the part numbers from the springs themselves.

See the link below...

H&R Springs

Default That's correct for the B6 A4. I have them on mine...

The H&R Sport springs are red, and the rear springs are installed separately from the strut (they don't sit over the strut but in front of it). That's why they are short.

Default That's an A4 setup.

However whether it's for the 1.8T or 3.0L cannot be determined from the photo.

H&R Sports typically come red for this application. However color is not an indication of anything. H&R regularly changes color.
