Default Quick seat question

Do the powered seats in the 3.0 and manual in the 1.8T have the same level of adjustability, i.e. are they both 12-way? I can only think of 10 directions on the manual.

Default Re: Quick seat question

Well, on my 12-way power seat, there is:

- Four way power lumbar
- Back rest tilt forward/back
- Whole seat move forward/back
- Seat bottom *front* up/down
- Whole seat elevation up/down

That should total 12 - four for the lumber plus two each for the others.

Your manual is probably missing the seat bottom front up/down.

Default Heh, don't have a "my manual" yet...

...and I might not ever. The seat tilt is pretty important for my back.

Default Which seat tilt do you mean? (more)

The adjustment I was trying to describe as possibly missing on the manual seat is the seat bottom's front part that can tilt up or down - i.e. the part under your thighs. The backrest can still tilt forward or back and the whole seat can still be raised or lowered...

Default Manual seat does not have this adjusment ... (more)

I am very happy with my Audi (second one), but this is my number one complaint. I just can't get the seat right and it is because it lacks this adjustment. My '98 2.8 A4 had this and I miss this feature a lot.

Default you answered a question...

I had, my wife's outback the front and the back can be adjusted seperately. I thought the my seat should do the same. I was beginning to think my seat was broken, so now I'm back to 2 squawks. Maybe I should RTFM a little more carefully. Thanks.

Default Re: you answered a question...

You mean the front and the back of the seat bottom? Well, if you try to adjust the back, it'll lift the whole seat up. In the Outback, I assume it angles it up until you're sliding towards the windshield? That's sporty - hehe.
