quick synthetic oil question
Hey everyone, im new to the web site. sorry to ask this question, but i already read the information on Oil in the resources section and im still confused. i have a 2003 a4 1.8t, with 83,000 miles on it. i was told to put mobil 1 0w40 by a friend, before i discovered this website, so i did. is that a bad choice? i live in california. what would be better for my car or is that ok? thank you

Mobil 1 0W40 is a good oil and is on Audi's approved oils list for your car. That was good advice. Another oil that is good is Castrols 0W30 that is availible at Autozone. Not many other approved oils are availible in the US.
