Default A quick update on my MTM chip after 9 months..(m)

1st off I had the chip installed in Denver. After install, power increase & stronger pull were readily apparent.BUT now that I am at sealevel just outside Washinton,DC, this is a great investment & the power & torque increase is HUGE! No question that MTM software is engineered to show big improvements well after 3000-3500 rpm. 3rd gear is the funnest & is the overall most noticeable(I call it my showoff gear for whosever in the passenger seat) And in 5th at 80 mph if I mash the throttle I see 120mph very quickly.
Overall I would highly recommend the MTM chip & for that matter any of their other products. I kinda wish I had now gone with their exhaust(i currently have Supersprint) as I definitely feel to have this engine perform at its best it must breathe at its best & a downpipe & high-flo cat(ordering from Stratmosphere this Spring) will make my A4 more even more fun to drive & a closer contender to the competition that is now pitted against it.
* A side note for those that are chipped*
I had the N-75 valve installed a month & a half after getting chipped & seriously...no exaggerating..it was like getting chipped all over again!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if compatible with your software.

Default Sounds good....

I've been thinking to get the MTM Stage 1+ as well. I really want a bigger turbo kit though, but that'll take a while to afford everything along with it (brakes, clutch,..). Trying to find out what MTM has planned in th eway of a Stage 3.

Yeah, you should have gone with the MTM exhaust. I'll have mine soon, hopefully (constant delays from Germany). Downpipe soon as well, they say. Looking to get that Milltek Sport CAT also.

I had a feeling MTM would be a good tuner (along with ABT/AMS, Sportec,...). It's because of their Euro roots [TUV]. I think this gives them better insight into the upgrades.

Don't tell me you got it from Schmavalon Motorsports. Eeeek!

Default You might try the TurboXS RBV-25...

Or Forged, or Stratmosphere Hyperboost. Much better IMO. I have the TurboXS RBV-25 on my '00 VW 1.8t and it has worked flawlessly for 60K miles. I also noticed an improvement with throttle response from it.
