Today, on my way to work i had a short lil race with a Mitsibishi Galant.
I had just stopped off at the local Fourbucks coffee house and was on my to work. He pulled up beside me on the right hand side of a two lane road that leads to a merge to a single lane (My lane) about 1/2 a mile up a head.
Im not sure if this was a 4 cyl or a 6 cyl Galant, but its driver seemed very keen on getting ahead of everyone. Normally i let folk pull out ahead and do their thing, but today I was in a ungracious mood, mainly as this driver almost hit someone in the cross road as he tried to jump the light when the green turn signal went off, or it could just have been that expensive morning caffine high![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
As our lights went green both of us floored it. My car was a bit behind initially (poor launch as well as one hand on my venti coffee so that it didnt tip over from the pull away). I realised i had the Car in D rather than S, so quickly i shifted to the S mode and we pulled level. As we neared the merge I was pulling about 3/4 a car length ahead. His eyes were quite a story when he pulled in behind me. Victory was very short lived though as he pulled off at the first off road, and then i got stuck in some nasty morning stop and go traffic a few miles down the road.
