So out of no where, my radio won't turn on and the word "safe" appeared in the display. I went to the manual and tried to follow the direction on inputting the code, but it won't work.

the direction says to hold down Scan and RDS at the same time...but nothing happened for me!

anyone has this problem before?

and what trigger this lock down? someone tried to steal my radio?

It's come up before. Try pulling then replacing the radio fuse first then go through the procedure.

hmm...good advice except i don't know how to do that, maybe it's time to head to the dealer!!!

Hold it down for awhile...1000 should appear. Read manual and try again.

No need to go to dealer, it's very easy to do. See your owner's guide.

i held them down for a good 30 seconds.....do i need to hold them down longer?
