Default Radio interference from tint - solutions other than to replace tint?

Got my wife's A4 tinted shortly after we bought it, and the radio reception is now severely limited. I told them non-metallic tint only, but apparently they screwed up. I tried my old symphony II and the reception was just as poor. can an "external" antenna be attached that could be positioned for better reception? or should I just have the tint on the rear windshield replaced?

Default I would just replace the rear tint.

Is the radio reception limited in AM or FM?

Default 2nd. How much did you pay? Non-metallic = ceramic = expensive.

Otherwise, you might have Hybrid tint, which still has metallic particles since you said you limited your reception.

$160, same as I did for my car, which has no problems. even still, FM shouldn't be affected, right?

Default Wild thought: Could it be that the installer screwed up the antenna when doing the rear tint?

It CAN be as simple as that.
