Default Re: Snow Clearance? does the Sport Pkg really make much difference? I am about to buy it ? any info?

I am another freak that would consider raising my car if I buy one since I drive tons of deep snow and dirt rocky roads. I refuse to buy an Allroad due to handling and gas mileage. I do like the stiffness of the sport pkg so will probobly get it, but worry about clearence? any feedback from owners?

Default It is PS'd

as much as I loved my truck, I wouldn't really stick my audi on top of it...

There is actually another set of factory/OEM springs for "rough roads".

Yeah, I figured the request would shock some people but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Thanks for the responses.

Thanks! That's probably route I'll go. Do you think it would raise the car slightly or only provide a mushier suspension?

Default I would raise he height on my Quantum if I could. My non-sport A4 Avant rides kinda high, I like it.

Nice. Is your A4 stock (suspension)? What size rim and tire combination do you have there?

Thanks.

Default That is 205/55-16, correct for B5 but now I use my old B6 215/55-16s to fill it up. Here is B6 n/s

with the stock 215s. I always thought 205/55-16 was to small for B5 and I won't go back to it. Much wider is not the answer, it affects steering feel, but 215/55s just seem to have the right proportions. Use a tire size calc to find a 1/2 size taller application, it will give more height w/o new springs (alignment nightmare!) Compare your desired size against the largest 18s and 19s sizes people use here. Try 215/60-16 or a 205/60 or 65-16 for B6.
