Default <rant>So I decide to finally clean my DV this afternoon, and the POS jack folds!!!

Laid out the tools and stuff I needed. I jacked the car up on the OEM jack and proceeded to start removing the underbelly pan. The car starts creaking, and I'm like, what the heck?!! I get out from underneath the front and about 5 seconds later, the base of the jack crumples. WTF?!!

Myself and Elf4U just used this jack 2 weeks ago to install the DSMIC. Good thing I un@ssed myself from underneath the car. Whew!

</rant>

wow you're very lucky. The OEM jacks have been known to do that though.

Default honestly, I dont even trust a 2 ton jack, I cant imagine trusting the oem one

you're very lucky, consider the $50 for a set of two jack stands and a real jack an investment that could save your life.
