Default Re-building coilover struts....leaking

I just replaced my coilovers with stock sport springs and Bilstein shocks. My suspension guy told me I could actually re-use or sell these coilovers (instead of throwing them away) because one could rebuild the shock and reuse the coilover. Anyone know of a place to rebuild them and how much it would cost? Has anyone done this before? It is an FK coilover. tia.

Default There is a place in CT & OH that do rebuilding and custom valving. IIRC ~$250-400 each.

This was for custom koni & bilstein valving. I just sent my motorcycle fork off for custom valving and that is almost $1500 for the 2 legs. Sometimes it is worth rebuilding/ revalving. Sometimes it is just not worth it.

Contact FK to see if they have any authorized dealers who can rebuild the shocks for you. Since they are all valved different, from different manufacturers and for different set ups.

Also, sometimes, rebuilding the shock costs just as much as purchasing a brand new one. Take a look at how much a single replacement would be, if that is the case.
