REALLY hating the Subaru commercials. The 240hp AWD answer to the $29k Subaru is an R32, SIMPLE!

Oh, and all hail the brotherhood of the Red-T!

Actually, a WRX isn't really faster than a Boxster- with an aggressive launch, it'll (m)
pull on the Boxster off the line, but a Boxster has longer legs at higher speeds, and unless the WRX does a redline clutch-dump launch, it won't even get an advantage from a stop. I speak from experience

Give it up. Performance nod goes to the Suby's in most (if not all) aspects.
The Germans appeal to a...different segment.
You want nice refinement and a bit of performance? Audi.

The new Suby's are coming a long way in the refinement department, but Audi obviously is not quite challenged in that area.
If you are comparing any Subaru to the R32 it should be the STi, and lets face it, the R32 doesn't hold a candle. However since you did mention it, the Legacy GT and R32 should be dead heat down the 1/4 and around the track. Both capable cars, but neither are ringers.

Where were you from 1986 until 1996 when Audi was barely holding its head above water?
Those were some very dark days in Audi history. Talk about troubles!
Audi almost went under, they certainly haven't "stood strong" all these years, far from it.
