Default rear defroster???

haven't used rear defroster much, until recently..
the last couple of mornings 65degrees F
with moisture(dew) on the rear window it
takes 9-10 minutes for the defroster to
clear up 90% of the dew...

n/e info. suggestions/comments is appreciated..
Thanks In Advance...

Default My thoughts...

I don't think you have a problem. If you had frost on your window, you would only be waiting for the frost to melt. With dew on your window, you're waiting for the water to evaporate. The defroster is quite capable of heating the glass above freezing to take care of the frost, but probably doesn't get hot enough to "melt" off the dew very quickly.

Use a "California Water Blade" to clean off your windows...

Why do you think they call it a Defroster and not an Evaporator?

Default How dew you get rid of the condensation then? In Texas when its 90 degress and humid with the ac-

on, the windows fog like no other (temp. differential between the inside and outside) and the only way I have been able to rectify the problem is turn the heater on...in 90 degree heat ;(

Default Are you talking about the condensation of the windshield?

The dew spots that occur at the base of the front windshield? I switch the climate control to just the dash vents so the cold air doesn't blow directly at the windshield and no condensation occurs.
