Can I fit a rear facing baby seat, such as the Britax, in the back seat of the 2002 A4? If so, I'm getting one for my wife! We are expecting in about 6 months give or take. TIA.

Yes and No. Yes it will fit, but the person in the front passenger seat will be cramped. First off, though, you will be using an infant seat or carrier, those take up some space too. But it fits. A little snug, but it fits. I have my 8 month old in a car seat behind the passenger and my wife rides up front just fine. Lots more room than the previous gen A4.
Also, get the Fisher Price Convex mirror to put on the headrest so you can see your kid while he/she faces the rear. It's a freaking lifesaver.
good luck and Congrats!

This is a lift-out seat that mounts in a plastic base. The base stays in the car, and the seat comes out to be used as a carrier, or in a stroller. Actually fits better in our A4 Avant than it does in my wife's Camry. The Camry's got more room, but it seems to rub a lot on the back of the rear seat, which it doesn't do in the Audi. Rear seat room in the sedan is the same as the wagon, so I'd think you'd be fine.

Does that seat go in the middle or behind the passenger seat? If it goes behind the passenger seat is there enough room for the passenger, ie legroom? Thanks.
