My wife's 2004 A4 is showing a burned out light bulb. I've tried finding a reference on the internet to determine which light bulbs are required, but I can't clearly identify which light sockets are for which function. Specifically, I don't know what the inner (of three) bottom light is for. I'm pretty sure the outer lower light is a dual filament running/brake light and the center bottom light is a running light.
Does anyone know where I can find a diagram showing the lights and/or circuit diagram?
Also, where does one buy a GOOD service manual?

how lng has the light been on? also make shure that you replace the burnt out bulbs with the proper one not just dual and single filamint because the have different resistance causing the burnt out light indicator.

That's what I'm trying to find out. Do you know where I can get a proper list of replacement light bulbs?

I am assuming your vehicle is a sedan, if so, there are 3 bulbs running along the bottom of the assembly and the middle one is the smaller of the bulbs. Unfortunately even ETKA (Audi's official parts catalog) lists the bulbs as : 6.Bulb, 7.Bulb, 8.Bulb and does not designate what each one does. In the diagram the lower middle bulb is #6 and is listed as R5W-12V-5W Part number is N-017-718-5 our price is $1.82 . It can be frustrating on our end as well when they list parts so generally. Screw, bolt, bulb and so on... I am having trouble attaching the diagram from ETKA to this thread but will continue to try and get a diagram up for you.
