Rear rotors have 91K miles of use. I am replacing my rear pads in a few weeks and I wonder if....

my comment was based on the fact that the cheap rotors from AZ/AA etc are not coated, and the hubs will rust and look like crap after just washing the car. I need to take mine off and paint b/c I can't stand how bad they look

If your post was about the coating, you could have just spelled that out. I'm not sure about novelty being as important as functionality. People get a lil crazy about rotor choice and Chinese rotors are just as good as 90% of them.

The Germans have always had superior metallurgy in their brake rotors, because of the AutoBahn, and their TUV regulations.
I dont scrimp on cash when it comes to brakes. They are probably "thee" most important safety system on your car!
Way too may people take them for granted, and think they can save a buck or two, buying cheaper rotors, and low-dollar pads.

that last longer than the OE pads (38k now compared to 30k on 2 previous sets of OE pads) and dust much much less (the same amount of dust as when I had my hawk HPS pads on the front). And the cost? Lets just say much less and do just as well.
