Default Rear Seat Broken off....

Okay guys, this is a really odd thing to ask so i'll post pix in a minute to show you what I'm talking about.

Okay so a couple weeks ago I'm driving and I hear this pop/crack noise and when I park I find this little snapped off piece of plastic on the floor behind the driver's seat. Nothing seems wrong so I just leave it. Then a couple days later I hear the same noise and find another piece the same way but this time the plastic back plate (the one with the little mesh holder for magazines or whatever behind the driver and passenger seat) that is near the leather is jutting out a little past where it should be. I push it back and it looks okay again but as soon as I sit down it gets pushed out again!

So has anyone else had this problem? Is it expensive to fix? Anything about what even causes it!?!?!

here are some pix to explain what I'm saying

Default Damn that really sucks....

sorry to see that happened. I don't have any assistance for you, but I wanted to track the thread so I can save it if someone knows a way to fix it. In case it happens to me in the future.

IIRC, there might be a recall regarding this issue, just heard that through the grapevine tho

Does that mean free repair even if you are outside of the factory warranty ?

Default Blame the lumbar support

If you have the lumbar nice and puffed and you exert too much pressure either getting in/out or just in general, it snaps the plastic clips which hold the back of the seat together.

Pieces I believe are relatively cheap at the stealership and someone here or on the other forum had a write-up on how to DIY.

I have to do this myself, just haven't come around to getting out to the stealership to get them.

Default Had the same problem.....

Had it fixed under warranty, however I remember that the charge on the invoice was about $10.

Default Well I haven't had that problem....

but if I do and there is a recall I'd be happy if it would be free for me!
