Do what you want to do. Judging by your post, you want to do the red dome light mod, so do it. But hey i'm fond of the red, i'm a B5er, so i'm a red purist I like the ALL red gauges rather than the white/red. Besides.. if you do it and don't like it, what, you're out $2 bucks ? Go for it.
