Default Removing rear seat

Hi - new audi owner with squeeking seat that is loose in rear. The seats dont fold and so I need to remove both cushion and rear seat/lumbar support to find cause of squeeking - the seat is loose in its mountings, but how to I get to them to remove?

Car is a 2004 Fsi Sport A4 Saloon. Audi want $170/hour just to investigate, so I thought I'd do it myself and save a few dollars!

To remove the rear seat; just pull up on it. It should snap out of place.

To Remove the lower rear seat, pull firmly on the front of the seat and they should just pop out. To Remove the upper part of the rear seat, lower the seats and take out the screw in between the seats and they should come right out.

Default i just fixed this recently...

i was getting some rattling and squeaking too so I put some felt pads under the seat. you can see where 2 metal parts of the seat touch the body. there were 2 worn out areas in the padding on the body of the car which is where I placed the felt padding. I used those adhesive felt pads you put under furniture. no more squeaking or rattling. =)

also lube up the part where the seat back locks to the car.

Default I kind of have the same problem, when I try to yank it up but it won't release?!

I assumed it was the same as the B5 but I'm scared to pull any harder as it feels like something might break. One side came loose but the other seems to be stuck. Now all I've done is make the back seat loose on one side so it rattles occasionally. Anyone got pics of their lower back seat out? Thanks.

Yep, this works fine and the replacement plastic locating points are less than $1 dollar if you break them.......

The issue I STILL HAVE is how to remove the rear upright cushion. Just to be clear, my rear seat does not split or fold down......it is a one piece item that, for the life of me, I cannot see how it is attached to the metal subframe of the car!

The foam Idea is a good one and one I will try if all else fails :-)
