Default Repost from cab forum: DVD-TV unit installed

I just had a Pioneer-AVH-P6500DVD unit installed. It plays CD/CD-R/CD-RW, VCD, MP3, DVD/DVD-R discs. I will also install a sat-nav unit next week. TV reception is much better than I thought. I really like the unit, up to now everything seems perfect. I will post more detailed impressions in a couple of days.

How much did that puppy set you back?

How exactly does the tv work? Do you have to pay for a reception or is it free off of satalite

Default Nice. The 6500 is a very reliable piece. Make sure to ..

close the vents behind the screen, esp. when they are blowing cool air. Not good for the screen (this covers all brands, not just the Pioneer).

It cost €2,300, that is for the head unit, the TV tunner and the aerial. TV is free, like the TV you use at home I suppose - it is free in Greece at least :-)

Default tv recep. is free.... (just like at home)

reception is best on open roads like highways. i have a dual diversity antenna setup, its pretty good in the DC metro area.

Default Looks great! How much did that set you back? How does the tv reception work too? Do you have to pay

for a subscription or is it free via some satalite? What are the costs if not free. Thanks
