I have been searching for the cause of my drive train vibration for a while now. An Audi repair shop told me the vibration was from a bad turbo, I didn't believe him, so I kept looking. I adjusted the snub mount...no joy. Went alittle further under the car and saw something suspicious...the tube brace (see picture) was touching the trans support. I loosened the bolts on the tube brace and pried the brace away from the tranny mount ear...STARTED THE CAR UP AND NO VIBRATION!!! Smooth as silk!
Here's my question: Now what? The trans is resting on the tube brace, is that correct?
What should I do to separate the tube brace and the trans mount ear? I guess I could add washers until it's not touching.
