Resonance at 2100RPM in 2002 A4 1.8T

Can anyone help me out there. I have a new 2002 A4 1.8T manual transmission and a few
months ago I started noticing this annoying vibration/resonance everytime I hit 2100RPM by
either accelerating or deccelerating past 2100 RPM. I cannot explain how annoying it is, it is
making me paranoid and taking away all enjoyment from driving because I can sense it
coming.
Sometimes the whole centre console and right side of the dashboard even vibrates.
any suggestions out there on what could be causing this; and why ONLY at 2100 RPM?

sometimes, especially under hard accel, multitronic, some people trace it to the coin holder, yours sounds like a greater issue.

I have the exact same problem. 1.8t CVT. The sound comes around 2200rpm for me though. REALLY annoying. I searched around AW and found this to be similar: https://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng6.shtml

i think it just has to do with the natural resonant frequencies of the exhaust (APR.)
mike staley at APR houston didn't seem to think any ill of it, so if he says it's cool, then i'm fine with it.

I had the same problem and I took it to the dealership and then they took apart the area right below the steering wheel and then fixed the problem. I think that something was loose and then it needed that particular frequency (~2200 rpm) to vibrate. It was a pretty quick fix.
